The site now operates as Cherokee Nitrogen Division and produces ammonia, regular nitric acid, ammonium nitrate solution and prill, urea, UAN solution and specialty ammonia/ammonium nitrate solutions. The plant also produces high purity ammonia for refrigeration and metallurgical applications.

The El Dorado Nitrogen, LP subsidiary is one of the country's largest and most modernnitric acid facilities. It is located at Bayer Corporation's complex in Baytown, Texas. The plant, started up in the spring of 1999, supplies 65% nitric acid to Bayer and other customers, mainly in the Gulf Coast region.
